Here’s some very interesting news to cap off a very interesting week: Marilyn Manson may be going country…well, country-ish.
The controversial shock rocker revealed during a recent Reddit “Ask Me Anything” that he’s planning on working with Korn’s Jonathan Davis on a potential “Southern-sounding” acoustic musical project.
Davis, of course, recently hit the studio with country duo Big & Rich and is reportedly recording his own album that’s said to be rooted in the style of the classic Bakersfield country sound. (Davis himself is a Bakersfield native, whose father once played with Buck Owens.)

But back to Marilyn Manson: Davis isn’t his only ally in the country world. Maybe his pal, country singer, and outlaw scion Shooter Jennings will contribute to this new musical direction? The two are good friends.
And another country connection? Billy Ray Cyrus. That’s right, BRC pals around with that squad, even Tweeting last year about a jam session they participated in under the full moon.
