The OTH actor has joined WGN America’s period drama Underground in a recurring role, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Premiering in 2016, the series follows a group of slaves who plan their 600-mile escape from a Georgia plantation, helped along the way by a secret abolitionist couple running a station on the Underground Railroad. Lafferty will play Kyle Risdin, a U.S. marshal who is intent on enforcing the Fugitive Slave Act.
