Dino Trubiano will never hold his twin sons. On Friday, March 25, just one day before Sue Trubiano,
his wife of nearly 10 years, gave birth to their boys, the
Massachusetts-based attorney died unexpectedly in his sleep at the age
of 39.
According to Fox25,
Sue woke up to noises followed by a gasp from Dino as he slept. First
responders and hospital staff were unable to revive him. The Trubianos’
twin boys, Caleb Peter and Jacob Dino, were born hours later on March
26, via a scheduled cesarean section.

Sue’s sister, Nancy Lauricella, opened up to Us Weekly in a statement on March 29.
“Dino will forever be the loving, loyal, determined, selfless and compassionate man who waited in eager anticipation for the arrival of his sons,” Lauricella told Us. “He was thrilled to assume his role as father and all that it would encompass, from changing diapers to raising the next generation of Patriots fans.”
She
continued: “Dino and Sue, with their love growing daily … cherished
each moment of pregnancy. Dino would often say it was the best time of
his life. While his sons will never meet him, it is certain that Sue,
along with Dino’s family and friends, will never let them forget him.”
Karen DeVincent, a friend of Sue’s from high school, set up a GoFundMe account
to help raise money for the family and to help with funeral expenses.
The page has raised more than $65,000 in just four days. “Amidst the
tragic event of Dino’s passing, and the joyful arrival of his twin sons …
we are overwhelmed and humbled by the amount of support received,”
Lauricella told Us in her statement. “It is a true testament of not only the life Dino led, but also the community to which he belonged.”
